Union-Ink
Company Statement.
Union Ink is a professional tattoo and piercing studio registered with all relevant governing bodies (. Including the Tattooing and piercing industry union) and legislative authorities. Our high standards and strict adherence to the regulations mean we will only tattoo those 18 and over and will not tattoo anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Legal age limits are shown online here (UK Tattooing Legislation)
We reserve the right to refuse service for any inappropriate requests and aim to provide a relaxed environment as we appreciate tattooing can come with some concerns.
Our staff are all business partners rather than ‘chair renters’ and can design and deliver any styles required. Our advice and input is free and experience based.
We accept walk ins however to avoid disappointment a booking accompanied by a small deposit is recommended to secure a specific time and date rather than waiting.
Our founder David has 40 years experience of tattooing and piercing and holds a PhD and has personally and extensively trained both George Lamport & Yaz Pacha who bring a new wave of design and enthusiasm to the trade which creates a superb team capable of satisfying the most discerning customer's needs.
If you are in the UK, you must be 18 years old or above to get a tattoo. The 1969 Tattooing of Minors Act states it is an "offence to tattoo a person under the age of eighteen except when the tattoo is performed for medical reasons by a duly qualified medical practitioner or by a person working under his direction."
There is no minimum age for most body piercings but performing genital or nipple piercing on someone under the age of 16 could be considered an offence. In order to be able to carry out the piercing procedure a licence is required.
